Alcohols

Alcohols are organic compounds composed of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen atoms, with one or more hydroxyl group (-OH) attached to the same carbon atom. They are among the most versatile organic compounds, and are found in a variety of everyday products such as beverages, medicines, fuels, and cosmetics. Alcohols have a wide range of uses, including as solvents, antiseptics, preservatives, and fuel additives.
