Addiction Therapy
Addiction therapy is a form of treatment used to help people recover from addiction. It is a psychosocial or pharmacological approach to treating addictive behaviors by addressing the underlying causes and reinforcing healthier habits. Treatment plans are individualized, and can include a variety of strategies. Examples of strategies used in addiction therapy include cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, relapse prevention, and 12-step programs. When used in combination with medical interventions, addiction therapy can play an important role in helping individuals achieve long-term recovery.
