Scabies

Scabies is an itchy, contagious skin condition caused by an infestation of the mite Sarcoptes scabiei. It is characterized by small, raised, red bumps/blisters and severe itching, particularly at night. Scabies can spread quickly among family members, sexual partners, and other close contacts. Early diagnosis and treatment are key to preventing the spread of the condition and relieving symptoms. Treatment usually consists of a topical cream or ointment applied to the entire body.
