Malnutrition

Malnutrition is a major public health concern, with over two billion people worldwide affected. It is caused by an inadequate or imbalanced intake of essential nutrients, or a lack of access to sufficient amounts of nutrient-rich foods. Malnutrition can lead to serious health problems and can cause stunted growth in children, increased risk for infection, anemia, and poor cognitive development. Proper nutrition is essential for a healthy life and can improve overall quality of life. Nutritional interventions and access to adequate nutritious foods can play a major role in improving the health of those affected by malnutrition across the world.
