Enterovirus
Enteroviruses are a type of virus that can cause various illnesses in humans, such as the common cold, meningitis, conjunctivitis, and hand, foot and mouth disease. They get their name from their ability to enter our body through our digestive system. Enteroviruses are one of the most common causes of viral infections worldwide, and they can be found in regions all over the world. They are spread through contact with infected bodily fluids, such as saliva, nasal secretions, and faecal matter. It is important to take proper precautionary measures, such as regular handwashing, to protect oneself from infection by enteroviruses. Vaccines are available to prevent some of the most serious illnesses caused by enteroviruses, such as poliovirus and hepatitis A.
