Dengue

Fever Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne viral infection that is found in tropical and sub-tropical regions of the world. It is caused by four different types of dengue virus. Symptoms of dengue fever include fever, headache, body aches, and skin rash. Severe cases of dengue fever can lead to shock, internal bleeding and even death. Early diagnosis and prompt treatment are essential for reducing the severity of the disease. Various strategies, such as the use of insecticides to control the mosquito population, are being employed in order to reduce the incidence of dengue fever. Vaccines and other preventive measures are also being developed to further improve the public's health from this potentially life-threatening illness.
