Brucellosis

Brucellosis is a bacterial infection caused by strains of Brucella bacteria, which can infect humans and animals. This infectious disease is usually spread through contact with infected animals or contaminated milk, meat or animal products. It can cause severe flu-like symptoms, joint pain, fatigue, and fever, as well as complications if left untreated. Treatment for brucellosis includes a combination of antibiotics, which can cure the disease in most individuals. In some cases, the infection can become chronic and require long-term treatment. Brucellosis is of particular concern in livestock and in public health settings due to the potential for serious sequelae, including infertility in humans and animals. Therefore, it is important to take precautions to prevent and control this infection.
