Airborne Pathogens
Airborne pathogens are microscopic organisms or particles that are spread through the air, e.g. bacteria, viruses, and fungi. These pathogens cause a variety of diseases, ranging from the common cold to influenza and even life-threatening diseases such as tuberculosis. Airborne pathogens can travel long distances in the air and are particularly harmful in areas with large population densities or those with limited sanitation. Control of airborne pathogens is essential for minimizing their spread and preventing disease. This can be done through ventilation, the use of face masks, immunization, and improved hygiene practices.
