Plant Proteomics
Proteomics is the large-scale study of proteins, which are critical components of all living organisms. Plant proteomics is the study of all proteins in plants, including their structure, synthesis, and functions. This research enables us to understand the metabolic pathways of plants and how environmental conditions, such as temperature and water availability, can affect them. Plant proteomics also helps us better understand how plants respond to changes in their environment, and how we can manipulate plants to create improved varieties for agricultural and medical uses. Ultimately, plant proteomics can contribute to finding solutions to global challenges such as food security and environmental sustainability.
