Parasitic Plants

Parasitic plants are plants that absorb some of their nutrients from other living organisms, typically by attaching to their host's roots and taking in water and nutrients. This type of symbiosis, known as parasitism, is an important type of interaction within the natural environment. Parasitic plants are able to survive in a wide range of habitats, providing key resources for the habitats they inhabit. They can provide food and habitat for animals and can act as hosts for beneficial insects. Furthermore, these plants can also act as pest control, helping to reduce the proliferation of harmful pests.
