Horticulture
Horticulture is the science and art of cultivating plants, fruits, and vegetables. This field of study also includes the study of plant genetics, diseases, pests, and methods of improvement. Through horticulture, plants are bred and developed to produce larger fruits, tastier vegetables, and more aesthetically pleasing flowers. Horticulture not only has a wide range of practical uses from providing food, to beautifying an area, but also has an incredible range of health benefits by providing protection from some dangerous diseases, to providing nutrients for our diets. Overall, horticulture is a valuable profession that should never be forgotten.
