Horticultural Therapy
Horticultural therapy is the use of horticultural activities, such as gardening, to achieve physical and emotional health outcomes. Through interacting with indoor and outdoor plants, individuals can benefit from the therapeutic effects that horticultural therapy has on stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. Additionally, horticultural therapy can be used to improve physical health outcomes by providing individuals with the opportunity to safely build strength, mobility, coordination, and balance. The mental and physical benefits of this practice are widely acknowledged, making horticultural therapy an effective and accessible form of healthcare.
