Flowering Plants
Flowering plants are a diverse group of plants that reproduce through flowers. They are distinguished from non-flowering plants by their ability to produce flowers, a reproductive structure which produces seeds for the purpose of propagation. Flowering plants are incredibly important for the ecosystem, providing shelter and food for animals and providing oxygen for humans. They are also important for food production, with many common fruits and vegetables being products of flowering plants. They are also used for decoration and medicinal purposes. Flowering plants also play a vital role in the pollination process, as insects and other organisms assist in transferring pollen from one flower to another, thus aiding in reproduction.
