Crop Science
Crop Science is a multidisciplinary field which encompasses the study of the physiology, genetics, ecology and management of crop plants for the production of food, feed, fuel, fiber and raw materials. It is a rapidly advancing scientific field that seeks to improve how crop plants are developed, managed, and utilized in order to maximize productivity and sustainability. Crop Science plays an important role in combating hunger, poverty and food insecurity, and contributes to the development of innovative solutions to global challenges in food security, climate change and environmental conservation. Crop Science is also used to increase yields, reduce inputs, lower costs and reduce environmental impacts. Crop Science is an invaluable resource for farmers, as well as for industry and policy-makers.
