Agricultural Sciences

Agricultural sciences is the study of farming and agricultural production and related sciences, including soil science, crop science, animal science and economics. It also includes the study of land use, resource management and rural development. Its importance lies in providing resources necessary for human survival and improving global food security. Agricultural sciences are used in the development of better crop varieties, improved farming techniques and technologies, sustainable land management and soil conservation, and a better understanding of how to manage animal health. These techniques can be used to increase yields, reduce wastage, improve the quality of food products and ensure food security for all.
