Agricultural Development
Agricultural Development is an approach to improving agricultural productivity and food security with an emphasis on sustainability. It seeks to increase the efficiency of production and distribution of food, as well as to reduce environmental degradation caused by agricultural activities. Agricultural Development includes strategies such as land use planning, soil fertility management, water management and the introduction of new technologies. It also encompasses the wider context of socio-economic development, poverty reduction and climate change. The primary goal of Agricultural Development is to improve the quality of life of rural populations and food security of the world by increasing yields, incomes and food production.
