Agricultural Botany

Agricultural Botany is the scientific study of the growth, development, and utilization of plants as they relate to modern farming methods. It covers many aspects of the science of how plants are grown and used for various purposes. It is important for understanding the interactions between plants, the environment, and agronomic practices. It has applications in the areas of crop production, pest management, soils and nutrient management, and genetic improvement and plant biotechnology. Agricultural Botany allows for the development of sustainable and efficient agricultural practices that improve the yield, quality, and resilience of crops, as well as reducing the use of inputs and increasing profits.
