Abscisic Acid
Abscisic acid (ABA) is a natural plant hormone that regulates various physiological processes such as seed dormancy, germination, leaf abscission, and stress responses. In addition to its importance in plant development, it is also of great importance in the field of crop biotechnology. ABA is essential for the production of drought-tolerant plants, as well as for promoting plant health and fruit quality. ABA is also involved in the response to disease and pest attack. By understanding the mechanisms of ABA action, scientists are able to improve crop yields and quality, while also developing drought-tolerant and pest-resistant varieties of crops.
