Photocatalysts

A photocatalyst is a material that accelerates chemical reactions under the influence of light. This makes it possible to quickly convert light into chemical energy and vice versa, allowing a wide range of applications in chemical and environmental engineering, such as air purification, water treatment, and energy storage. Photocatalysts can also be used for the production of new materials, such as self-cleaning surfaces, hydrogen production, and organic waste decomposition. By utilizing photocatalysts, these chemical processes are more efficient and cost-effective compared to traditional methods, leading to reduced environmental impact and increased utilization of renewable energy sources.
