Nanoplatelets
Nanoplatelets are a form of nanoparticles that are thin and flat, measuring several tens of nanometers in diameter. They have many useful properties and are increasingly being used in a range of industries. By taking advantage of their high surface area to volume ratio, nanoplatelets can be used for a variety of applications, such as providing a larger surface for chemical reactions, photocatalysis, and drug delivery. In addition, their flat shape and low aspect ratio make them ideal for materials reinforcement and thin film deposition. Nanoplatelets are also being studied for use in fuel cells, solar cells and batteries. As technology progresses, the use of nanoplatelets is likely to become even more prevalent.
