Plasma Cell Myeloma
Plasma cell myeloma is a form of cancer that affects the plasma cells of the bone marrow. It is frequently accompanied by anemia, bone pain, kidney damage, and an increase in the number of abnormal plasma cells. Plasma cell myeloma is the most common form of myeloma, a type of cancer affecting the white blood cells. Treatment options include chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and stem cell transplantation. Plasma cell myeloma can be a challenging cancer to treat and the prognosis is often poor, making prevention and early detection essential for improved patient outcomes.
