Lymphoproliferative Disorders
Lymphoproliferative disorders are a group of conditions characterized by an abnormal increase of lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell that helps the body fight off infections. These disorders can have serious consequences such as increased risk of infection and even cancer. Symptoms can include fever, weight loss, fatigue, and an enlarged lymph node or liver. Treatment of lymphoproliferative disorders depends on the severity and may range from medication to chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or a stem cell transplant. Early diagnosis and treatment are essential for managing the condition and helping to reduce the risk of further complications.
