Leukotriene
Receptors Leukotriene receptors are proteins found in many cells, including the cells of the immune system. They are involved in regulating inflammation and allergic responses in the body. They bind to specific molecules called leukotrienes, which are produced in response to certain triggers, such as allergens or irritants. By binding to leukotrienes, the receptors are able to regulate the body’s response to the triggers. They are important for regulating a number of immune system functions, as well as for controlling asthma attacks. Leukotriene receptors are potential targets for drug development, and their manipulation could be a way to treat allergies, asthma, and other inflammatory conditions.
