Eosinophilia
Eosinophilia is a condition characterized by having an abnormally high number of eosinophils in the blood. These are a type of white blood cell that play a role in fighting against parasitic infections, as well as allergic and asthmatic reactions. It is important to monitor and diagnose eosinophilia as it can be a sign of several underlying conditions, such as parasites, allergies, asthma, or even cancer. Treatment for eosinophilia may involve medications to treat the underlying condition, or to reduce the level of eosinophils present in the blood.
