Adenocarcinoma

Adenocarcinoma is a type of cancer that forms in the glands of the body. It is commonly found in organs such as the lungs, pancreas, prostate, and colon. It is the most common form of lung cancer and is associated with smoking. Adenocarcinoma can also be caused by genetic defects as well as environmental factors such as asbestos or radiation exposure. Treatment may involve surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. Early detection is key in improving the prognosis for this type of cancer.
