Music Therapy
Music Therapy is an evidence-based clinical and therapeutic practice involving the use of musical interventions to address physical, psychological, cognitive, emotional and social needs of individuals and groups. It has been shown to have positive impacts on the physical, emotional, social and cognitive development of a person. Music Therapy can be used to treat a variety of conditions such as dementia, autism, depression, anxiety and learning disabilities. Music Therapy has also been shown to reduce pain, improve communication, enhance memory and reduce stress. It can be used as an alternative to traditional therapies or as a complimentary form of intervention.
