Epitope Mapping

Epitope mapping is a scientific method used to identify the binding sites on an antigen that are recognized by an antibody. It is a vital technique in understanding the structure, function and evolution of proteins, as well as providing insight into how vaccines and drugs interact with their targets. Epitope mapping can be used to design more effective vaccines and drugs, and can help in understanding and designing immunotherapies. Additionally, it can further research into autoimmunity and other diseases, allowing scientists to map out the interactions that can lead to an immune response.
