Biomedical Sciences

Biomedical sciences is the application of scientific knowledge to improve human health and well-being. It is a multidisciplinary field that focuses on basic research to understand the molecular and cellular basis of health and disease, as well as applied research to develop treatments and cures. It has applications in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases, as well as in regenerative medicine and artificial organs. Biomedical sciences also provide research and development of medical devices and technologies, such as artificial limbs and hearing aids, as well as the development of pharmaceuticals and biotechnology-based treatments. Additionally, biomedical sciences are used to study and improve public health policies, such as campaigns to reduce the spread of infectious diseases.
