Bioequivalence
Studies Bioequivalence studies are research studies that analyze whether two versions of a drug have an equivalent therapeutic effect. These studies are conducted to provide assurance that two drug formulations, such as generic and brand name drugs, produce the same effects when ingested. Bioequivalence studies are of significant importance to the pharmaceutical industry as they are essential in establishing that generics are interchangeable with brand-name drugs, meaning they can be substituted without concern of a change in effectiveness. Furthermore, they help in the approval process of generic drugs by regulatory bodies.
