Vertebrae
Vertebrae are a series of 33 bones arranged one after the other in the human spine, providing support and protection to the spinal cord and other internal organs. Vertebrae are important in human anatomy because they are the base for the frame of the body. They also play an important role in facilitating movement by allowing the spine to bend and twist, allowing the body to move in multiple directions. In addition, they act as shock absorbers, helping to absorb and distribute forces through the body during activities such as running and jumping. Vertebrae are also involved in the functioning of our vital organs and help to protect them from injury. For this reason, a healthy spine is essential for overall body health and well-being.
