Traumatology

Traumatology is a branch of medicine that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of physical trauma and the psychological effects of the trauma. It has become an increasingly important field of study in recent years and is used to help people recover from traumatic events, and to provide aid for those diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Traumatology is also of use for identifying and treating physical injuries, such as those caused by motor accidents or sports. Additionally, it can help clinicians to better understand the impact of psychological, physical and emotional trauma on people's lives and mental health. As a result, traumatology plays an important role in providing diagnosis, treatment, and quality of life support through specialized counselling and psychological interventions.
