Tendinitis

Tendinitis is an inflammation of tendons, the tough fibrous bands of tissue that connect muscle to bone. It often occurs near the elbow, shoulder, wrist, ankle, hip, and knee. Symptoms include pain, swelling, and difficulty in moving the affected area. Treatment involves rest, immobilization, and physical therapy, as well as pain medications and corticosteroid injections. Tendinitis is a common condition and is usually treatable, but it can lead to long-term complications if not addressed. With proper diagnosis and treatment, it can be prevented and managed, allowing people to return to their everyday activities.
