Soft Tissue Rheumatism
Soft Tissue Rheumatism, also known as Musculoskeletal Pain Disorder (MPD), is a medical condition caused by inflammation of the muscles and tendons due to strenuous physical activity or repetitive strain. Musculoskeletal pain is a common complaint among active individuals, particularly those who perform sports or heavy lifting. Common symptoms include pain, stiffness, and swelling in the affected area. The condition is mainly treated with rest and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS). Physical therapy and other forms of rehabilitation are also recommended to help strengthen the affected muscles and prevent further injury. The diagnosis and management of soft tissue rheumatism requires a multidisciplinary approach, including physical therapists, orthopedic specialists, and rheumatologists. Early diagnosis and treatment can help prevent further damage and improve quality of life.
