Shoulder Arthroscopy and Decompression

Shoulder arthroscopy and decompression is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to relieve shoulder pain caused by conditions such as rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability, and shoulder impingement. During the procedure, the surgeon inserts a tiny camera and instruments into the shoulder joint through a small incision, allowing close visualization and access to the area. The surgeon then performs small surgical tasks to remove bone spurs and other soft tissue that may be causing the pain. This procedure is beneficial as it can provide quick and lasting relief of shoulder pain with minimal scarring and a quicker recovery. In addition, the use of an arthroscope has the added advantage of a much lower risk of infection compared to traditional open-surgical procedures.
