Scoliosis
Scoliosis is a spinal condition involving abnormal curvature of the spine. It is most commonly found in children and adolescents, though it can also affect adults. Symptoms include an uneven appearance of the shoulders and waist, and sometimes pain and discomfort. Left untreated, scoliosis can lead to more serious health problems, including difficulty breathing. Scoliosis can be treated with physical therapy, bracing, or surgery. Early detection is important in order to identify scoliosis before it becomes severe and before other health complications arise. Treatment approaches should be tailored to the individual patient to ensure the best possible outcome.
