MRI stands for Magnetic Resonance Imaging and is a type of imaging technique used to create detailed images of the inside of the human body. It uses a magnetic field and pulses of radio waves to create high resolution images of the brain, spine, organs, tissues and blood vessels without using x-rays. It is an important diagnostic tool that is used to diagnose diseases and injuries, such as tumors, nerve damage, stroke, heart problems, and other internal medical conditions. It is a non-invasive and relatively safe imaging technique with significantly fewer side effects than other imaging methods such as x-ray and CT scans. MRI images provide valuable information to physicians, which can help them in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions.
