Inflammation

Inflammation is the body's natural response to injury and infection. It is an important part of the body's healing process, and helps to protect against further damage. Inflammation can be beneficial, but it can also lead to damage if it is too severe or lasts too long. Drugs that reduce inflammation can be used to help treat a wide variety of conditions, including arthritis, asthma and allergies. Anti-inflammatory drugs can also be used to reduce the risk of some types of cancer and to control the symptoms of other illnesses.
