Hip Osteoarthritis
Hip osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disorder that is characterized by the breakdown of the cartilage of the hip joint. It occurs when the protective surface of the hip joint wears away, leading to bone-on-bone contact and painful friction. This condition can affect individuals of all ages and is one of the most common causes of hip pain and disability. Treatment of hip osteoarthritis includes lifestyle modifications, physical therapy, pain relievers, and in some cases, surgery.
