Endocrine Disorders
Endocrine disorders refer to any disorder of the endocrine system, which is the body's network of hormone-producing glands (e.g. the pituitary, thyroid, and pancreas). Endocrine disorders can cause a wide range of symptoms and can significantly affect an individual's health and wellbeing. Examples of common endocrine disorders include diabetes, hypothyroidism, and adrenal gland disorders such as Cushing’s disease and Addison’s disease. Treatment of endocrine disorders may involve medications, lifestyle changes, and/or surgery. It is important to diagnose and treat endocrine disorders in order to prevent long-term health complications and improve quality of life.
