Bone Deformation
Bone deformation is a type of bone abnormality that occurs when the growth plates are prematurely closed due to excessive weight, stress, or a physical deformity such as scoliosis. This can result in disproportionate growth of the affected bones, making them misshapen. Bone deformation can be mild or severe and can lead to problems with mobility and other physical activities. Treatment usually involves physical therapy, bracing, and in some cases, surgery. Bone deformation can also affect an individual’s self-esteem and mental health, so early diagnosis and treatment is essential.
