Polymorphonuclear Leukocytes

Polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMNLs) are a type of white blood cell characterized by their multi-lobed nuclei. PMNLs are an important component of the human body's immune system. They are circulated throughout the body, where they help to fight off infections by engulfing and destroying bacteria, viruses, and other foreign substances. PMNLs also play a role in wound healing and inflammation by releasing various compounds that promote inflammation and healing. As such, PMNLs are essential for maintaining a healthy immune system and defending the body against infection and injury.
