Plant Science
Plant science is an interdisciplinary field of study that covers many aspects of the life and ecology of plants. It covers the anatomy and physiology of plants; their biological interactions with other organisms and their environment; their ecological processes, such as nutrient cycling and succession; and their evolution and adaptation. Plant science has applications in medicine, agriculture, forestry, and horticulture, and is essential in understanding and managing our environment. Plants are a vital source of food, fuel and materials, and plant science offers tools to help sustainably increase food production and conserve natural resources.
