Plant Physiology
Plant Physiology is the scientific study of how plants work. It examines the physical and biochemical processes that are responsible for the growth, development and reproduction of plants, their adaptation to the environment and their interactions with other organisms. Plant Physiology is an important field of research, not only because of its direct relevance to agriculture, horticulture and forestry, but also because it provides us with a better understanding of the physiology of all living organisms. A better understanding of the inner workings of plants can lead to improved practices in agriculture, horticulture and forestry, which can help to increase crop yields, develop new varieties of plants, improve soil management and reduce pest and disease damage.
