Invasive Biology
Invasive biology is a scientific study focused on understanding the traits, behavior, and characteristics of invasive species. Invasive species are species that have been introduced to non-native areas, are successful in establishing and reproducing, and can cause environmental or economic damage. Invasive species can directly compete with native species for space, food, and other resources, as well as introduce disease and parasites that can damage native populations. The study of invasive biology is valuable for understanding how invasive species interact with their environment and how to prevent their spread and limit their damage. This knowledge can be used to develop strategies to manage and control invasive species, protect the environment and preserve biodiversity, and minimize economic and environmental damage.
