Fronds

Fronds are specialized leaves of a fern. In a general sense, fronds are large, fan-shaped divisions branching from a stem. They are typically composed of a stem, rachis, and leaflets. Fronds are important for a variety of uses in the environment, including providing food for animals, shelter for other plants and animals, and contributing to the energy cycle. They are also used as ornamentals in landscaping and home decor, offering a visually pleasing addition to gardens and yards. In addition, fronds have medicinal properties, and parts of the frond, such as the spores, can be used to create natural dyes.
