Ethnomedicine

Ethnomedicine is the study of traditional healing practices used by ethnic or cultural groups. It is an important tool for understanding health care practices and identifying natural remedies that can be used to promote health and prevent and treat illness. Ethnomedicine involves investigating the culture, history, and customs of specific groups to better understand their beliefs about disease causation and to uncover medical knowledge and treatments that have been passed down through generations. This knowledge can then be used to inform potential treatments and preventive measures for use in modern medicine.
