Steganography
Steganography is the practice of obscuring data within a digital file or message. It is used to securely transmit confidential or sensitive information without being detected. Steganography employs sophisticated encryption techniques which would render the data unrecognizable to an outside observer. By using steganography, one can securely communicate with another party without a third party being able to detect or intercept the communication. Steganography is also used in digital forensics to detect hidden information in digital files. Its use in cybersecurity has increased in recent years, as it can be used to protect a user’s privacy by preventing the sharing of personal or confidential information without the user’s knowledge.
