It can help detect malicious activity by comparing the expected data patterns against unexpected patterns and changes. By doing so, it can identify the presence of hidden data and alert security personnel. Steganalysis is an important tool in the fight against malicious activity such as identity theft, data breaches and intellectual property theft.
