Forensic Serologist

A forensic serologist is a key member of a forensic laboratory team to carry out tests on biological materials in criminal investigations. It involves the application of specialized techniques and chemicals to analyze biological evidence, such as blood, semen, and other bodily fluids, as well as hair and fibers. This evidence can be used to link suspects to a crime scene or support the innocence of a suspect, as well as provide important information on the identity of an individual or the age and health of a body. The forensic serologist’s analysis is used by law enforcement to help determine the perpetrator of a crime and the sequence of events in a given case.
