Forensic Profiling

Forensic profiling is a method of identifying a criminal offender's characteristics and behavior based on crime scene evidence. It is used in criminal investigations to develop leads, assess the probability of an individual’s involvement, and create a psychological portrait of a suspect. It combines elements of psychology, criminology, and criminal justice into an investigative tool that can be used to identify, apprehend, and convict a criminal. Forensic profiling enables law enforcement to be more efficient and effective in solving crimes and can help determine a suspect’s guilt or innocence. It is a powerful tool for fighting crime and bringing closure to victims and their families.
